ON FUN ~ Seven Sisters Girl...

GYM RATS - #6

DAVID: “You know how I know you’re gay?”
CAL: “How?”
DAVID: “You like Coldplay.”

The 40 Year Old Virgin

As I spend time on the treadmill, bored with my book during a commercial on the program distracting me, I like to check in on the regular gym rats and imagine who they are, based on what I see of them at the gym.

Seven Sisters Girl never uses the weight machines. She only rides the bike and does crunches. I am guessing that she is involved in some very specific serious conditioning of her legs and core. The big duffle bag she stuffs under the counter instead of in a locker also makes me think she is an athlete - soccer maybe?

Although she is a machine with her workouts, she seems to be shy and keeps to herself, hiding behind her glasses, long baggy shorts and a T-shirt with a Seven Sisters logo on the back. The Seven Sisters are a group of private women’s colleges in the Northeast that were originally tied together for their parallel with the Ivy League. These same schools, like many others heavy on the female population, are also often thought to be more than just sisterly.

With no evidence of a wedding band, I imagine that Seven Sisters Girl is single and seeks love from someone who appreciates all that she has to offer - like the rest of us. Her gym routine screams that she would be loyal and attentive. She is young and, based on her T-shirt (the best way to measure a person‘s intelligence), bright. And lets face it - her fitness level certainly indicates that she has plenty of stamina.

But until I can get a peek at her i-pod for evidence of Coldplay, I’m not sure if I should be looking for guys or girls to set her up with.

Well, take it from a lesbian; coldplay might be for fags, but we lezzies go for the Indigo Girls. LOL

(is there something Molly hasn't told you?... I seem to recall that commented favorably! *wink)

I have nothing of substance to add, but I do so enjoy your gym rat posts. It is kinda fun to observe other and create an imaginary biography for them. Thanks for entertaining me yet again...

Sounds like my kinda girl. Except that she's probably far too young for me. That's just how it goes.

Living 700 miles away probably doesn't help matters either.

Sigh.

BTW, The World in Black & White isn't "my" project, it's a collaboration that's been around for quite a while now, but I only recently got a seat at the table. Once they met their membership quota, it kinda turned into waiting for someone to drop out or die before you got a chance. I happened to know someone who was dropping out and... well, you know.

Timing is everything!

I'd hate to imagine what people would think of me if they got a peek at my iPod. I'm definitely eccentric :)

That was a fun read. I don't go to the gym, but I like to people watch--usually at the library.

If a tee-shirt is the best way to judge a person's intelligence, I'm in big trouble, because at the moment, I'm wearing a shirt that says, "Je suis blonde, Parlez doucement"

Teehee, how funny! My ipod is crammed with many, many random songs and bands so I can only imagine what someone at a gym would think of me ;)
