I'm lost in thought trying to think of others, but my brain isn't working this morning obviously! Now, I really didn't so much mind Bowie in Labrynth!
Agree with your comment about it being a lot easier to pick good artists/actors (it would have also been easier picking actors who shouldn't have sung). Thought Ringo was good in the Beatles films, The Magic Christian and That'll Be The Day, but it's hard coming up with five, and have to admit that some of the ones I chose had been okay in some of their performances.
I don't think Jessica Simpson even counts as a "music artist." Poor thing.
