Love love love Neil young
Ooohh, great albums these! DH loves Stevie Ray Vaughan and Pink Floyd too!
Some good selections, though you'll never find Dylan on MY playlist..ugh!
(Sorry--I know many revere him, but his voice grates on my nerves.)

2, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12. Must haves :-)
Happy TT Bumbles!!
I'm up at both EW, with13 ways to Manifest Abundance and Thornesworld with
another gardening fever TT with lotsa links!
PS. love Dylan, just dont know which albums! hehe!
You've got it all going on with this one! Perhaps the only one I'd add for myself would be "Making Movies" by Dire Straits and "Born to Run" by the Boss.
So many, so MANY great choices on your list.
My 13 is up now, if you'd like to take a break from your everyday chores...come on over for a visit, and have a great Thursday.
Great list, full of great music. Alas, I have years of Hannah & the Jonas Brothers left in my future.

Great selection. My T13 is on my favs as well. Happy T13!
Aw,man...great list. My oldest son is a musicaholic like me and we have these Essential Albums discussions all the time. We agree with a lot of these choices :)
Meant to add....
The son is biking across the country and chose to take only 10 CDs with him. "Blonde on Blonde" made his list. Here's his guest post on his 10:

How did I miss the memo about Thursday 13 having a music theme this week?! Lots of music posts. :)
Interesting TT! I've never heard of any of those albums! LOL!
*hugs*

What a great assortment of music!
Wow, some great choices here - but I can't stand the rolling stones.
Hmmm.....
I guess that doesn't cancel out the rest! ;)
From Miles Davis to Pink Floyd to Bob Dylan to the Clash. That's a very eclectic list!
Happy TT!
Hah, great idea for a list. I only have 2 of those, but I have other albums by some of the represented artists (I'm fond of Best-Of albums -- Stones, Pretenders, The Kinks...)
Also a decided NON-Bob Dylan fan here.
Have to confess that I've got exactly none of those albums, but a good varied selection nonetheless.
I have #5. On a cassette actually -- so very retro! I don't have any of the others. In fact, haven't heard of most of them. I suppose everyone's idea of essential is different.
Awesome list! The only thing I might change on mine is replacing...er...uh...The Band with The Who Who's Next. Everything else stays. I especially love that you have Blood on The Tracks here, and included Stevie Ray Vaughn!
Two Dylans and no Zep? *shakes head*
