ON FUN ~ Help a Blogger Out...

Today we have a special treat for all the loyal readers of The Bumbles Blog. And for those of you who just happened to pick today to stop by, well, you reap the rewards as well - lucky you! We are posting an ad on behalf of our friend, Cardiogirl, and really hope that you respond by clicking on over to her site and become a fan of her spot of the web. For not only will you be entertained by her blog and the people frequenting it, but you will also see our pitch to her readers trying to encourage them to come on over here so you'll have more cool people to hang with. Now make us proud and go give Cardiogirl some love today - you can come back and thank us later.

MWF looking for Fun, Expressive Commenters:

I'm a married female blogger who writes Monday through Friday. I will admit that my handle -- Cardiogirl -- may suggest that I am a one-trick pony, simply writing about diet and exercise. Au contraire, mon frere. There is so much more to me than my ponytail and exercising obsession.

True I have named a few people at my local YMCA and have written about them on more than one occasion -- there's Muriel and the H Bomb. And I do have a category called Diet and Exercise but I skew more toward observations.

Sometimes funny, sometimes contemplative my posts are frequently thought-provoking as evidenced by the activity in the VIP Lounge.

That's my comment section -- the VIP Lounge. Everyone who enters receives a return comment from me. I tend to have on-going conversations with the original commenter and there are cross-conversations between fellow commenters. It's a chatty place that VIP Lounge.

There's also a Gold Star of the Day which is awarded on a semi-regular basis to the commenter who hit my funny bone. I love that Gold Star and I enjoy handing it out. A recent Gold Star recipient is Faith who answered my Book of Questions post last Friday.

But onto you. You're a person who likes to have fun. You might be a lurker, that's cool. Not everyone jumps into a party ready to throw a lampshade on his or her head.

You may be the life of the party ready to meet some new people, there are lots of them hanging out there.

Some have totally different views, some agree with me. You don't always have to agree. The best conversations start with an opposing view. I enjoy hearing your thoughts, it makes me think more about the topic and sometimes creates new posts for me in the process.

And the Lounge has no comment limit. I've run into that in the past myself and I find it annoying.

You can practice micro-blogging if you're so inclined. I will say I've turned two commenters into bloggers via my VIP Lounge. They began talking at my place and found they wanted their own platform, hence their blogs were born.

If you're looking for off-beat fun, the party is at the Cardiogirl Empire. New topics are posted each weekday morning at 7 am and the Empire is open 24 hours. I hope to see you soon!

Well, now isn't that a clever thing? I enjoyed that, and I guess I'm sold. I will head on over as soon as I finished my socializing with my blogroll.

If anyone needs a personal referral, I can vouch for Cardiogirl. She's an awesome writer: funny, bright, insightful. She will make you laugh and make you think. I've been a fan since I started blogging, almost two years ago.

This is a good idea, I think. Giving "personal ads" for fellow bloggers and they do the same for you.

Cardiogirl cracks me up. I go to her blog in spite of the fact that I am seriously jealous of her Chuck Taylor Low Top Mood Indicators. :-)

Sandy - I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

JD's right - Cardiogirl is a great place to visit.

Angelika - the ad swap was fun to do - especially with Cardiogirl as a partner.

Howdy you crazy Bumbles!

Thanks for allowing me to sort of take over for a day. I'm enjoying my moment in the spotlight.

You know it's bigger over here than it is at my place and I like the furniture arrangement in here. I might have to get a similar sofa and love seat combo over at my pad.

Thanks again!
