ON BOOKS ~ The Time Traveler's Wife...

MizB asks you to:

  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page.
  • Share the title of the book the teaser comes from…that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!

From pg. 519 of THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE by Audrey Niffenegger (fiction)...

"Our love has been the thread through the labyrinth, the net under the high-wire walker, the only real thing in this strange life of mine that I could ever trust. Tonight I feel that my love for you has more density in this world than I do myself: as though it could linger on after me and surround you, keep you, hold you."

Stay tuned for my review on Friday this week when I guest post on You've GOTTA Read This! and find out if I thought the above was just another mushy romance or something with more substance.

Okay,
I interview romance authors, what do you think I read? I confess I moved on to the next book on my to read pile because the one am currently reading is too embarrassing. Wouldn't you like to know what that one was. : )
So here goes Sex and the Psychic Witch by Annette Blair
pg118
Embarrassed, titillated, their gazes met and mated, made promises, went drowsy, said good night.
-I would open to a nooky page!
pg79
"That's true, but she hates you. For me that would be sharing like a suite with ghost bait."

Good reading everybody,
Terry Kate

I see that your teaser is from page 519. This sounds like a chunkster which already tells me it's more than a simple romance novel. I look forward to your review.

Oh I remember reading that book a few years ago. I really enjoyed it but I wonder how the movie will turn out.

If you like this one I have read a few others that are sorta similar to this one that you might like.

This seems like it should be a very complicated novel, by time. bylayers of meetings and yet reading it is such a joy and so easy. It really is an incredible novel and a moving love story to boot.

My highest recommendation for this one.

Your heart will break as the challenges they for so long were able to manage, just seem to overtake them. There are many, many tears to be shed reading this book, some of them of joy, some sorrow. There are also MANY lessons from what Henry and Clare go through that relate to love, romance, trust, disability, sickness and death.

It's a wonderful story.
