ON MOVIES ~ Reunited, And It Feels So Good...

Feature Presentation...

MONDAY MOVIE MEME

Molly looked around for a weekly meme about movies and did not have any luck. So therefore she decided to start her own! Andy will play along as well - hopefully you will too. Go to your blog and create your own post on the topic, linking back to us in your post, then come back and leave a link to your post here in our Comments section. If you don’t have a blog, just share your response in the Comments section.

This week's movie topic is all about Reunions...

We were on a massive road trip vacation last week, as you might remember from last Monday's theme. We had such a great time and you will hear all about it if you check back in to our blog throughout the month. But boy are we glad to be home. And we (yes, even Andy) were so happy to see the kittens again. The last time we left them they tried to blow up the house. They've grown up now and don't get into so much mischief anymore so no worries waiting for us this time. Being greeted by the little fur balls meowing hellos to us from the window was very sweet. This of course has led to thoughts of movies capturing the essence of the reunion. Here are a few off the top of our weary heads. Share on your blog movies that focus on characters being reunited and then link back here at The Bumbles. And don't forget to visit your fellow participants!

  • Finding Nemo - 2003 (a lost fish is found)
  • Home Alone - 1990 (vacationing family returns to their accidentally left-behind son)
  • The Blues Brothers - 1980 (reuniting their band)
  • Casablanca - 1942 (former lovers cross paths during war)
  • The Big Chill - 1983 (former friends rediscovering each other after a funeral)
  • The Parent Trap - 1961 (those sneaky separated at birth twin sisters reuniting their divorced folks)
  • Do you have a topic to suggest to the Monday Movie Meme? Leave it in the Comments section or send us an e-mail.

    Great choice Bumbles,
Once again you made me think. Good to use the old brain occasionally.
Hope your vacation was fabulous and I hope you post a couple of photos!

I loved Finding Nemo--and both Parent Traps (I'm referring to the 1961 original with Haylee Mills, Maureen O'Haren, and Brian Keith). I've put my thinking cap on and come up with a few more. my Monday movie

Oh, you Bumbles are good! I didn't play because I could only think of two: Beaches and Julia. Childhood friends who keep entering and reentering one another's lives. That's it. You Bumbles have stumped me.
