ON MOVIES ~ Lost Without Them...

Feature Presentation...
MONDAY MOVIE MEME

Molly looked around for a weekly meme about movies and did not have any luck. So therefore she decided to start her own! Andy will play along as well - hopefully you will too. Go to your blog and create your own post on the topic, linking back to us in your post, then come back and leave a link to your post here in our Comments section. If you don’t have a blog, just share your response in the Comments section.

This week's movie topic is all about Stranded Top 5's...

Oh, I am still lamenting the end of LOST. Boo :0( What to do with my time now that I no longer need to ponder all those island mysteries that the stranded survivors encountered? I know! I'll pester Andy for his top 5 list of movie's he'd want with him if he were ever stranded on a desert island. Here are his picks - along with my list too. Share on your blog those films you'd most want to have with you and why, linking back here at The Bumbles. And don't forget to visit your fellow participants!

    ANDY'S LIST:
  • The Last Waltz (1978) - for the music
  • Best In Show (2000) - for the laughs
  • Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) - for the adventure
  • Goodfellas (1990) - for the awesomeness
  • Fletch (1985) - for the hell of it
  • (NOTE ~ LOTR Trilogy was disallowed as 1 selection, and Andy decided you need them all - so not enough room for the list - thus Fletch)

MOLLY'S LIST:
  • Twelve Angry Men (1957) - for the talent
  • To Kill A Mockingbird (1962) - for the inspiration
  • Cool Hand Luke (1967) - for the Newman fix
  • Best In Show (2000) - for the laughs
  • Gone With the Wind (1939) - for the romance

  • Do you have a topic to suggest to the Monday Movie Meme? Or would you like to guest host? Let us know in the Comments section or send us an e-mail.

So glad that you have a few on your list that are B&W because I am a big fan of them. In April we went to the TCM Classic Movie Festival in LA and had a blast. Well, I had a blast and Art put up with it.

    Let's see, my five.....
    Kings Row (1942)
    All the Kings Men (1949)
    A Bill of Divorcement (1932)
    Dinner at Eight (1933)
    and just for fun
    Dave (1993)

Hi, this is my first time to join.

Most of the movies are new to me. I think I will check them out :). Thanks for sharing and hosting this meme. Have a wonderful week.

Molly, I agree with you on Newman (sigh), even though he's not on my list. Here's mine. http://heresmytheory.blogspot.com/2010/06/monday-movie-meme.html

Don't mind watching gone with the wind... it is a long movie and when you are stranded it will make time pass by quickly

I played, although I am a bit late. Best In Show is a hysterical movie! Great pick ;)

Oh, wow, this is a tough one.

To Kill a Mockingbird--because I know I could watch it a million times.

While You Were Sleeping--because I love Sandra Bullock and she and Bill Pullman have chemistry.

Hope Floats--see above reason #1 and I could watch her dance with Harry Connic a million times and she cries real good in this one.

French Kiss--because I love Meg Ryan (pre-duck lips era) and Kevin Kline.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid--it has everything: cowboys, adventure, romance, many memorable lines, and Paul Newman and Robert Redford.

    Okay, I guess it wasn't that tough. ;-}
