This week's movie topic is all about Prison Movies...
I realized this weekend who George Clooney reminds me of. That handsome devil with the wry smile, approachable personality the guys want to hang with and the girls want to get with, dancing eyes filled with mischief and talent to play dramatic and comedic roles? He is a modern day Paul Newman. They both also happen to have starred in terrific movies about being locked up and busting out. Here are some of our favorite prison movies. Share on your blog movies you've enjoyed featuring jail time or the escape from them, linking back here at The Bumbles. However - NO SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION ALLOWED - that is a slam-dunk automatic (I'm talking to you, Sandy). And don't forget to visit your fellow participants!

Excuse me? But everybody knows Shawshank is the best prison movie ever!!!!! Party poopers. Just to show you that I indeed can come up with a list without Shawshank and not use your selections, here are mine!

Have you seen Scorsese's recent film Shutter Island? It's good! As a B-movie :)
Last year's Oscar nominee Un Prophète is pretty impressive -- or should I say depressive? ;)
But my favourite would definitely be the cult classic Birdy!
These are the first that come to mind... you never know what I may come up with later!
Dammit! Sandy beat me to it. Shawshank Redemption is awesome. Since I have to pick something else I'll go with The Green Mile.

I like all of those--I would probably add "The Green Mile" starring Tom Hanks. That was one weird prison flick. And I might also add "Silence of the Lambs". That one was pretty horrible.
Glad to see you included Cool Hand Luke. I just watched this one again over the weekend and was reminded what a phenomenal job that Paul Newman did in the film.
