MONDAY MOVIE MEME
Molly looked around for a weekly meme about movies and did not have any luck. So therefore she decided to start her own! Andy will play along as well - hopefully you will too. Go to your blog and create your own post on the topic, linking back to us in your post, then come back and leave a link to your post here in our Comments section. If you don’t have a blog, just share your response in the Comments section.
This week's movie topic is all about Heists & Capers...
Last month when we covered Prison movies, it got me to thinking about all of the great movies out there showing the other side of the coin - the heists/robberies/capers that create criminal characters we end up rooting for. Here are some of our favorites. Share on your blog favorite heist & caper movies, linking back here at The Bumbles. And don't forget to visit your fellow participants!
- Palookaville (1995)
- Dog Day Afternoon (1975)
- Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid (1969)
- The Pink Panther (1963)
- A Fish Called Wanda (1988)

Dammit! I wanted to claim Butch & the Kid. Oh well, I managed to come up with a few others. This is a very rich genre, isn't it?
And thanks for reminding me of A Fish Called Wanda. "To call you stupid would be an insult to stupid people!" I love that movie.
I would add Inside Man to this list.
OK, I admit, I had to use Dog Day Afternoon. I can't leave it off my list or I will implode. But I came up with ones that I bet nobody else thought of...

I just thought of another movie, it's called "Ripley's Game" and stars John Malkovich from 2002. It's a small but terrific movie, amazingly well done, a little creepy, very subtle and psychological, a cat and mouse game of sorts!

To your list, I'd add the first George Clooney Oceans Eleven just for the eye candy. I'm not familar with the first film you have listed.
your last three are among my favorites, I picked another Newman/Redford film . . .
How did your chat go on Friday? I'm really interested in the "Survivor Fantasy Pool" How does that work? My husband put some money in the pot at work. He was able to choose two cast members for the chance to win. One of his chances, Shannon, went out on Wednesday. Now his money is riding on Benry. Personally I'm liking Jill at this point. I'm feeling better today--so I thought I'd play your meme and make a post.
My list is different from yours but I do love yours...

I've never heard of Palookaville, but love the others. My favorite Pink Panther is the one with Christopher Plummer as the Phantom opposite the immortal Peter Sellers. Priceless!
