ON MOVIES ~ We've Fallen And We Can't Get Up...

Feature Presentation...
MONDAY MOVIE MEME

Molly looked around for a weekly meme about movies and did not have any luck. So therefore she decided to start her own! Andy will play along as well - hopefully you will too. Go to your blog and create your own post on the topic, linking back to us in your post, then come back and leave a link to your post here in our Comments section. If you don’t have a blog, just share your response in the Comments section.

This week's movie topic is all about Aging...

Both of The Bumbles celebrated birthdays in the last 3 weeks, turning 40. Which, as my grandfather used to say, is better than the alternative. Growing older is best shared with others. Here are some movies that speak directly to this point. Share on your blog movies about aging or being elderly, linking back here at The Bumbles. And don't forget to visit your fellow participants!
Do you have a topic to suggest to the Monday Movie Meme? Or would you like to guest host? Let us know in the Comments section or send us an e-mail.

Well, neither one of you are "old poops"! Wait until you hit your late 50's!

I love "On Golden Pond", "Fried Green Tomatoes" and "Driving Miss Daisy". Perfect choices. I haven't seen the other two.

First of all, happy birthday, dear Bumbles! And I have two additions to one the list -- one from this year, and one from many moons ago.

Welcome to the second half of your life! Ha! I'll always be older than you, if that makes you feel any better. Anyway, this one was fun. I find it such a challenge to find good ones that you haven't listed. Here are mine:

And I didn't copy any. This was especially easy to do since the only one I've seen is Fried Green Tomoatoes! Apparently I'm scared of aging ;)

This is a better topic than I thought at first, in terms of movies that fit the category. There are so many great ones on your list esp. Drivig Miss Daisy, Fried Green Tomatoes & On Golden Pond. They're fatastic movies!

I kept coming up with movies to add to my list - sorry it's kind of long! I actually took a few off my list!

Aging is an interesting topic. Although I'm facing 70 I still don't feel old. I'd love to be 40 again - for a few days maybe. The movies you picked are all good ones. I would add the ones that contain one of my favorite Agatha Christie characters: Miss Marple. She's one who has aged well and loves who she is.

Happy belated 40th birthday(s) to both you and Andy!!!

As for movies that center on aging? Hmm...would Benjamin Button count (even if he ages in reverse?)

I love all those movies! great choices. I think I would add "The Notebook". I just think it's so tender the way he reads their story to her, and stays in the nursing home with her. And the ending gets me everytime. *sob, sob*
