Sorry about that - total misspellings. Meant to say your niece's apple reminded me of when my kids left chunks in the water bottle and then handed it to me.

I remember the apple farm visits with my oldest son. We lived in CT at the time.

Donuts & fresh cider were staples of the apple picking expeditions we undertook with friends when our kids were still young. Thanks for the memories...

I'm glad she got a better version to eat. looks like a fun place to visit. It's always interesting to see how things are processed. When I was a little younger we used to set up a camp stove in the backyard, pick the apples from the tree, send them through the apple press and then bottle the juice. We also made our own apple pie filling and apple sauce. It's a ton of work--I'd rather buy it now.

We've been apple picking, but I haven't been to a cider mill in years. Must take the Bear this year or next.

I've heard apples were up early this year, too.
