The Gal Herself suggested a while back that we feature movies where the characters not only imbibe, but they get wasted. Drunk. Trashed. Enjoy the drink a bit more than is healthy. The Bumbles have been known to bumble their way through a happy evening. Thankfully no one was filming. Here are some movies and moments that made us tipsy. Very cool blog! I stumbled upon you through Best Posts of the Week and enjoyed what I saw. Having a link to an "Animal House" clip will always draw me in, one of the all-time classics. Sign me up, I'm your newest follower!
Dammit! You picked almost all the movies I had in mind when I suggested the topic! Even Lost Weekend! So, while I bow to your selections, I did manage to dig deep and come up with two others that are worthy.

the actor that first popped into my mind was Dean Martin--the most famous drunk ever! Other than that the only movie I came up with is "MASH", the movie and the series. The war was one long excuse for being drunk.
So, the only one I've seen in Leaving Las Vegas. I really need to start going through the list I have of all the movies I want to see from this meme over the past year!

You got all the good ones! Actually I do recall a very funny scene in Trading Places when Dan Akroyd is dressed up like Santa and is drunk as a skunk. Sorry I am not playing this week...I'm a big unorganized mess and have to get my act in gear for our trip Wednesday!
The Animal House one is a classic!
I freaking love Tashiro and drunken bike ride in Nerds! My choice is up :)
Only movie on this list I've seen is #2. I can't tell you how many times I've seen Animal House but I absolutely loved it! Plus in high school I had such a huge crush on Tom Hulce that I had to watch it over and over again LOL.
"TOGA!" Such a twistedly funny movie...
On a less humorous note, I can only think of "Days of Wine and Roses"--Jack Lemmon and Lee Remnick. A gut-wrencher.
Oh wow. We watched Barfly in media class my senior year in high school and I kept saying the whole time "What in the world IS this thing?"
"Ironwood"--such a depressing movie, with Jack Nicholson as I recall.
