This week's movie topic is all about Summer...
Summer is in full swing and yet already there are Back To School commercials starting to pop up. While we still have a week left in July, lets think about all those films set in Summer instead of shopping for backpacks and school clothes. Here are some that we came up with. Talk about a list of classics! whoa!
Gah! You got the two best ones...Stand By Me and Jaws! My go to movies. No worries, I can come up with some more. (Thank you for the early post!!!)
Without a shadow of a doubt Jaws is the best movie ever made. The 50 minute interaction between the three characters when they are on the boat is the most powerful piece of film ever recorded. (In my humble opinion)
My choice is a smaller budget movie than the big hits you listed. But it's a dear little film, and I'm sure if you saw it, you liked it.
I went a different route this week, but am hoping you'll help me :)

The Sandlot has always been one of my favorite movies and Jaws was a great pick too. I haven't seen the other three but judging from the comments it sounds like you picked some good ones. Kaye—the road goes ever ever on

Part of the movie The Sandlot was filmed in Ogden where I lived for many years!
I haven't watched The Sandlot and Stand By Me in such a long time. Those are two great movies that are worth a repeat in the DVD player on any day. Jaws is a good one as well :)
I'm not familiar with the other two though and considered adding Leonardo DiCaprio's "The Beach" to my list but changed my mind since I still have to finish watching the rest of the movie sometime this summer when Netflix stops acting all weird with their streaming options.

The Sandlot is best movies. This teach good lesson to our children, showing them the world island of fantasy and dreams that children create entirely outside the fields and values for adults.
