ON FAMILY ~ Milestones...

Sammy had a busy week. He turned a year old. He tasted cake and frosting for the first time. He had a ginormous BBQ in his honor with family and friends, a pinata, a rain storm, more cake and lots of presents and balloons. Then he spent a few days exploring all of his presents that require their own addition to the house. He had his doctor check-up where he got a gold star, and a couple of extremely painful shots that snuck right up on him and made him cry buckets. He ditched his bottles and went straight to milk in a sippy cup without complaint. Oh, and he learned to do this...

I swear, just this evening you were on my mind. I was studying something hanging on the side of my fridge, and I noticed his birth announcement (yes, still up there) and I thought "OMG, that baby just turned one!!!". So happy birthday Sammy! Him is so proud of himself and his walking legs and his ball. Give that boy his sippy cup, his Boston cupcake, and baseball on the tube and he has it made!

Oh, Sammy, you are just adorable!! That big smile just melts my heart - he's so proud of himself!
After Gage's party we set some of the gifts aside and brought out one new gift a month. Somehow he's just now on his last saved gift. Seriously, a 1 year old gets major gift love.
So sorry that Gage did not get his gift in the mail. Time has gotten away from us here. email to follow :)

It would appear that frosting is a hit with the Birthday Boy! The sippy cup move is impressive. Happy Birthday!

Oh, I recall that joy when they learn to walk and the laughter that goes with it. Seems like yesterday even though it most definitely was not.
