ON MOVIES ~ Hey, I Know That Guy...

Feature Presentation...
MONDAY MOVIE MEME

Molly looked around for a weekly meme about movies and did not have any luck. So therefore she decided to start her own! Andy will play along as well - hopefully you will too. Go to your blog and create your own post on the topic, linking back to us in your post, then come back and leave a link to your post here in our Comments section. If you don’t have a blog, just share your response in the Comments section.

This week's movie topic is all about Biopics...

There are lots of movies these days that tell the stories about the lives of real people. We prefer the sweeping tales of a person's life story as opposed to snapshots of moments in their time. There are lots of examples that sprung to mind and we've shared a few of them below. Sometimes the films feature people we're already familiar with and other times they introduce us to them. Either way, we had a hard time coming up with biopics featuring women - maybe you can rectify that in your post. Share on your blog movies featuring portrayals of real people and their life stories, linking back here at The Bumbles. And don't forget to visit your fellow participants!
Do you have a topic to suggest to the Monday Movie Meme? Or would you like to guest host? Let us know in the Comments section or send us an e-mail.

Oh I was so loving Joaquin after Walk the Line until he kind of got all weird. But women biopics - not as many but some very good ones! My favorite is probably Sweet Dreams with Jessica Lange as Patsy Cline. Love that movie!

I was actually thinking about Sissy Spacek in "Coal Miner's Daughter" and Hillary Swank just played Amelia Erhart.

I've seen all those performances except Sam Rockwell's, and that's because The Gong Show was on after school when I was a kid and I couldn't BEAR him.

But the ones I have seen were impressive. In fact, Jim Morrison and Val Kilmer are now forever linked in my head.

Never one to shirk a Movie Monday challenge, I've included 3 women's bio performances.

I've managed to not see a single one of those movies, and I don't know how! I've seen parts of Patton, but not the whole thing.

Mine are here: http://www.endomental.com/2010/09/monday-movie-meme_13.html
