MONDAY MOVIE MEME
Molly looked around for a weekly meme about movies and did not have any luck. So therefore she decided to start her own! Andy will play along as well - hopefully you will too. Leave a link to your blog post where you’ve shared your response or, if you don’t have a blog, share your response in the comment section at the end of this post.
This week's movie topic is all about Parents Just Don't Understand...
We spent the holiday with family and watched the movie Collateral with Molly's folks (I know - such a cheery holiday choice). We had seen the movie before so had the luxury of pre-screening. But there are times when you watch a film no one has previously seen and find yourselves a bit uncomfortable with the subject matter in front of mom and dad. Therefore, this week's topic is movies you would NEVER watch with your parents. Here are some of our choices...what are yours?
- Borat (2006)
- Y tu mama tambien (2001)
- Eyes Wide Shut (1999)
- Last Exit to Brooklyn (1989)
- Porky's (1982)

Hrmm. Kidlet and I saw Borat together. I would have to be paid to watch Tom Cruise get all kinky and naked, and I watched Porky's with my dad and all of my guy friends as a teenager!
I played HERE and listed five.
Boy, hmmm...Borat or Porky's I would have to guess.
Eye's wide Shut just disturbed me all the way around!
I've heard about all those movie, but never seen any of it.
Have a happy new year!!!
I loved "y tu mama tambien", but I think I could watch with my parents. About 10 years ago, I was in London with my mum and we went to the movies and saw "ice storm" with eliajah wood and christina ricci... Not a movie to see with your parents for sure!
I played:

I couldn't watch any of the films you named with my mom either!
I remember my parents, my brother and I watching Porkys when it first came out! My brother and I had to pretend we were shocked LOL so mom would not get upset.
I am sure their are plenty of movies I wouldn't want to watch in front of the parents. Only one is coming to my mind and the is Red Shoe Diary's. Loved that movie but not one you want to watch with others. My husband had 3000 on the other night with my 5 year old in the room and I had to rush him off to bed for some content that he shouldn't not have seen.
Meh. My mom's taste in movies and mine are so radically different that there aren't very many movies I'd watch with her. As for my dad... well, I hope it'll be a while before I'm headed for the great theater in the sky, but his taste in movies was even more different than mom's.
And yes, Raleigh's done quite a bit of growing since the 70's. Some of it too fast I think.
STARRLIGHT & CINDY: I wish I had sewn my eyes wide shut.
FICKLE: You should check them out - without the folks of course!
CARINA: I have never heard of Ice Storm - it seems to have a great cast though. Did you like it other than watching with mom?
NINA: Did you like 3000? It is on our to rent list.
MOJO: Lets keep you on terra firma for a while.
Whew, what a question to consider!
I came up with three NSP films.
Molly,
I have to play this game in reverse. We are trying to find something we can watch. Mine is at my blog: http://joyfullyretired.wordpress.com/2008/12/30
