ON MOVIES ~ So Happy Together...

Feature Presentation...
MONDAY MOVIE MEME

Molly looked around for a weekly meme about movies and did not have any luck. So therefore she decided to start her own! Andy will play along as well - hopefully you will too. Go to your blog and create your own post on the topic, linking back to us in your post, then come back and leave a link to your post here in our Comments section. If you don’t have a blog, just share your response in the Comments section.

This week's movie topic is all about Ensembles...

This past Friday, we unveiled Bumble Town here on our blog. It is a forum to encourage our Bumbles Blog community to engage in discussions about blogging, get to know each other, make connections and promote themselves. The hope is that our community will grow stronger as it is given a platform, a voice. That we will become a strong unit working together - much like an ensemble cast in the movies. There are lots of great movies that succeed not because of megastars and lesser known supporting casts, but because of incredible actors working together without any one person taking on a lead role. Here are some winning ensemble combinations we came up with. Share on your blog films with an equally collaborative cast that come to your mind, linking back here at The Bumbles. And don't forget to visit your fellow participants!

  • Grand Canyon (1991)

  • Crash (2004)

  • Traffic (2000)

  • It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963)

  • The Big Chill (1983)

  • Do you have a topic to suggest to the Monday Movie Meme? Or would you like to guest host? Let us know in the Comments section or send us an e-mail.

How sad is this -- never saw Grand Canyon, Traffic and only bits of It's A Mad, Mad, World.

It's been forever since I've seen the Big Chill, but did LOVE Crash. It was one of those movies that made you think. As disgusted as I was with the racial undertones of the movie, it is still a way a lot of people react today.

Btw, is it okay if I just comment here and don't do the discussion?

I haven't seen any of those. That's what I like about this meme. It gets me thinking about great movies I've seen plus I get aquainted with many I haven't. Fun topic this week. Kaye—the road goes ever ever on

Oh, The Big Chill! What a soundtrack (funny how that's the first thing everyone remembers). Traffic was great & It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World must be seen if one is to become expert at Spot the Character Actor. Great list!

I like this topic, however, I must confess to seeing only one of your listed movies - The Big Chill. I'll just add the rest of the list to my movies-to-see list.
