The Music Memoirs (celebrating their 200th Top 5!) asks us to name our Top 5 reasons we splurge on a piece of music. Since Andy is the primary music buyer he will go solo on this list...
- The new Neil Young Archive vol. 1, 10 dvd set. And that only covers the early part of his career. It's about $400.
- Tickets to the Phish comeback shows in March.
- Upgrading home audio/video equipment
- Artwork - concert posters
- Attending most concerts, considering the cost of fees - a $25 ticket is $50. Add a few beers, parking, etc. and it's easily over $100.

Those are very good reasons, concerts especially :)
Nice ones. I don't buy big box sets often, but yeah, they are a definite splurge for me.
