ON MOVIES ~ We Are The Champions...

Feature Presentation...
MONDAY MOVIE MEME

Molly looked around for a weekly meme about movies and did not have any luck. So therefore she decided to start her own! Andy will play along as well - hopefully you will too. Go to your blog and create your own post on the topic, linking back to us in your post, then come back and leave a link to your post here in our Comments section. If you don’t have a blog, just share your response in the Comments section.

This week's movie topic is all about Victory...

Molly went to the Patriots/Jets game Sunday and kicked her heels up in the air celebrating a slam dunk victory by the Pats. She got so giddy over it that she decided this week's movie topic should revel in all things victorious. Share on your blog movies focusing on champions, victories and winners and link back here at The Bumbles. And don't forget to visit your fellow participants to find their recommendations!

  • Miracle (1994) - More than just an Olympic hockey win
  • The Incredible Journey (1963) - The original version, of very determined pets
  • Erin Brockovich (2000) - Never underestimate a motivated lady, especially when your effect on water kills people
  • Wildcats (1986) - *Football* thanks Goldie ;0)
  • Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) - Victory is in the eye of the beholder, at least to one British soldier
  • Do you have a topic to suggest to the Monday Movie Meme? Leave it in the Comments section or send us an e-mail.

My post is up. I'd leave my link but my right click button isn't working for some reason. Anyway, I HAD to put Miracle, and of course, yes Hoosiers. But I came up with a few more...

Great topic, and quite apropos considering The Blindside opened this weekend (it was a distant second to New Moon). My post is HERE.

To this list I would add Norma Rae. I would also add Officer and the Gentleman...I mean she gets the cute guy and is victorious in that way, right? LOL

I was going to apologize for not getting here yesterday until I read that Molly kicked her heels up at the Jets getting beat. Hurumph. I really thought I liked you all.... Hee hee! Ugh the Jets are killing me! I just have to remember rookie quarterback, rookie quarterback (I hope he's the whole problem! Fat chance, right?!)

Great movie topic! I enjoyed "Miracle", love "The Incredible Journey", book & movie. "Erin Brokovich" is a very inspiring movie and I've never seen "Wildcats" or "Bridge on the River Kwai" so they're going on my Netflix list!
