1. Molly has a degree in Elementary Education.
2. She works in Finance.
3. Andy has a degree in Building Construction Technology.
4. He works in Construction.
5. Molly has had the same boss for 16 years. He's one of the good ones.
6. Andy has had the same boss for 11 years. He's another keeper.
7. Andy spent many years working nights, weekends and traveling out of town as his boss' business was starting out. Molly was not pleased.
8. Andy now has normal hours and travels very little. Molly is very happy.
9. Molly's weakest subject was Math and she works with numbers every day.
10. Andy's weakest subject was Physics - but he is not a rocket scientist.
11. Molly found she enjoys what she does because she learns something new every day, gets to help people reach their dreams and has a boss who considers her a member of his family.
12. Andy is lucky in that he gets to do what he always intended to do - and he still enjoys it because he is part of a small, close knit team finding success together through the good and the bad.
13. After all those years on the job we've finally found a way to put some of that knowledge to use in our lives - Molly positioned enough pennies properly to be put to use when Andy finally gets around to repairing the old garage shed - Yay Jobs!

1. Chris of The Mommy Journey passed along the Friendship Award. She lives in the Philippines and was touched in part by the recent natural disaster there. She hosts Mommy Moments each Friday providing a theme for Moms across the world to post about and illustrate with photos of their kids. She has introduced so many people to our blog through her participation in our Monday Movie Meme and is focusing her own T13 this week on movies. We appreciate her involvement every day.
2. DS of Third Storey Window passed along the Zombie Chicken Award which is one we've seen around and enviously wanted to display - woo-hoo! DS lives in the Northeast somewhere we think - perhaps even dreaded NY. We've already forgiven opposite sports allegiances because her literary blog is written so beautifully. This week she's discussing Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men in honor of Banned Books Week. Over the weekend she was exposing us to some Japanese literature. It is always a treat to visit her spot in the blogosphere.
3. Sandy of You've GOTTA Read This! passed along the Top Commenters Award to us via a Drop Kick Murphy's video in her post which was very special sending some Boston love all the way from Florida. She introduced DS to us and is a top commenter to everyone she cares to visit. So really she should just keep this award permanently or we should re-name it the Sandy Award or something. In addition to writing the best reviews in the Book Blogging Community on a daily basis, she is hosting a discussion on Daphne Du Maurier's Rebecca over the next two weeks simply because Molly mentioned she was reading it with a pal on Goodreads and thought she might like to join in. That's the kind of gal she is, organized, a go-getter and always bringing people together.
4. Heather of Gofita's Pages passed along the Splash Award which gives us a memory of summer to cling to. We're not sure how she became so fond of Pirates, living in land locked Utah and all, but her love for them is infectious. She's getting a little witchy with us this week with a history lesson as well as reminding us of some goodies via a vocabulary lesson. She's a new blogger to us and we're glad she found us because her's is a fun place, matey!
6. Adelle of Adelle Laudan writes steamy biker romance novels and kindly introduces us to other hard working authors like herself. This week she gives us an inside peek into the pages of another writer's new release, shares a fantastic story behind a Cole Thompson photo, and is doing her T13 on extremely stupid laws. Her blog provides a mixed bag as you can see that is well worth the visit.
7. Wanda of A Season To Read is another book blogger and she gives us a Canadian perspective on literature. She introduces us to some wonderful Canadian authors. She's been quiet this week but she just changed her images to match the change over to Fall so we hope she's enjoying her favorite season. She's also got a book giveaway going and since the one we won from her earlier this year was so fantastic we're pretty sure she wouldn't steer you wrong.
8. Stacy of Stacy's Books seems like she could be Molly's blogging sibling - aside from the Mary Kay gig their interests are very similar. She loves books, movies, sports and pets. She hosts a weekly quiz about literature and this week she's asking us to match up quotes about censorship with the Presidents who said them. She's also exuding pride for her Buckeyes encouraging other College Football lovers to share their team spirit. There's also a book review and her thoughts on a Screenplay Challenge involving Fast Times At Ridgemont High. We couldn't believe she'd never seen the movie before - but we're totally stoked she did now!
9. Kaye of The Road Goes Ever On loves her family, takes incredible photos, and tries to work Lord of the Rings into every Monday Movie Meme topic she can! This week she's showing us a wall of her 2009 reads, a visit down memory lane with a childhood favorite from the fantasy genre, and history via a photo scene in Utah. Her insights into her world are something we look forward to and we have a lot of awe over her talents.
10. Karen of Karen & Gerard Zemek is another Ohio resident and she has given up on her Tribe this season and decided to root for her husband's Red Sox. So you can see the obvious attraction for us! She is a woman of great faith and is relying on it a lot right now as she is learning to battle a cancer diagnosis which is something we are proud to support her in. This week she's posting on a tough topic up for debate in the Christian world, changing her mind about skydiving, and sharing health benefits of sleep - which is one of Molly's favorite hobbies.
11. Margot of Joyfully Retired wanders the country with her husband in their RV and makes us jealous on a daily basis. For example, she has a recurring theme where she posts about her Favorite Places. This week she's showing us all about a part of Alaska we only know from an oil spill. She is also giving a review of a Cancer Survivor Memoir that interested us because so many we know have been touched by this disease. And much to our delight, she too is talking about Fast Times. You'll have to visit her to see if this grandmother rated it the same as child of the 80's Stacy did above.
12. Brenda of The Otherworld Diner is a contributor to a blog run by a group of paranormal romance writers and these authors let you get inside their heads to see what it is like to be a writer, the challenges they deal with, inspirations for their ideas and a guide through pieces of their process. Brenda provides the T13's and she loves to share quotes. Last week she promoted Library Card Week with quotes all about reading. We can't wait to see what gem she's got planned next.
13. Our Friends and Family. They don't have blogs (that we know of!) but they take the time to check in here, visit Molly's posts elsewhere, and have all kinds of supportive things to say to us in person, on the phone, via e-mail and on Facebook, in addition to leaving comments when they can because that's how they roll. And we're forever grateful for them.

2. His best friend from Kindergarten was his best man at our wedding

2. Extra Batteries - We remembered to bring a radio with us on our recent trip but didn't buy the right amount of extra batteries. Andy was able to go find some since we weren't too far away from civilization. But you should always make sure you have the right size and amount for everything from the radio to flashlights to the camera.
3. A Deck of Cards - We've played lots of games with friends on camping trips over the years. There was a memorable game of Pictionary on one trip. But a deck of cards is small and easy to pack. It is also easy to forget. We must have 6 different decks at home and we left them all behind the last trip.
4. A Washtub for Dishes - Another thing we spaced on recently. This makes cleanup a heck of a lot easier, and a lot less wasteful of water. It is also a great container for packing things like cooking utensils, paper plates, paper towels, and trash bags.
5. An Air Mattress - Andy took me camping for the first time since I was a little girl and I wanted to prove how capable I was of having a good time roughing it. Boy was I annoyed when I realized everyone else had air mattresses and didn't think any less of their camping prowess because of them. Needless to say I bought Andy an air mattress for his birthday not long thereafter. We don't ever forget to bring it along!
6. A Shade Tent - This is a recent purchase for us, which we made to use during a BBQ to protect our guests from excessive heat or unexpected drizzles. While loading up the Jeep for vacation Andy questioned whether or not we should bring it along for camping. We decided to shove it in there and were soooo happy we did. We had a few evenings of downpours while hanging near the fire, listening to tunes and relaxing after a delicious dinner. Without the shade tent to keep us dry we would have been sitting on our air mattress in a cramped tent arguing over who forgot to pack the deck of cards.
7. Duct Tape - This is not something we could ever forget because Andy always has a roll handy. It's a good thing, because when we went to pitch our tent we realized one of the poles was busted and without that duct tape to repair the problem, we would have been sleeping under the stars.
8. Bug Spray - If we had needed to sleep under the stars, at least the bugs would have stayed away. I am a magnet for mosquitos and therefore stock Deep Woods Off the way most women treasure their perfume. We brought 3 cans of it on vacation and used it every evening. Otherwise, I truly wouldn't have been a very happy camper.
9. Toilet Paper - You never know. Sometimes you just have to pee in the woods. In such situations, having some TP makes it easier to handle. Don't ever assume the campground will have well stocked facilities, or that they will be nearby when you wake up in the middle of the night with a full bladder. TP is also good for blowing noses, cleaning smudged eyeglasses/sunglasses, and tending to minor flesh wounds.
10. Flashlights - Surprisingly, people forget about flashlights because they usually have a fire going or a lantern lit in the evening. But for those middle of the night pee breaks, you don't want to go bumbling through the woods looking for the right tree or bathroom. That's how you end up with those minor flesh wounds. So throw a flashlight next to the TP in your tent.
11. Extension Cord - Since the dead car battery fiasco, we are always on the lookout for campsites with outlets. Generally, RV's use them to plug in. But we reserved one for us and our little tent so we could have something to plug the radio into in the evenings while enjoying the fire. Then when we got there we realized the outlet was nowhere near the fire pit and we had forgotten an extension cord. We couldn't just crank up the tunes due to quiet hours. Thus the need for the above mentioned battery run.
12. Pot Holders - Open flames get wicked hot. Just propping your wet shoes against the pit is enough to melt them (Andy says from experience). So it is no fun anticipating that yummy meal and burning your hand trying to grab the pot of grub off of the cooking grill. Pot holders take up almost as little space as a deck of cards. And you can use them to cushion some of those more fragile items. I'm sure glad Chef Andy remembered to pack them!
13. Matches - We have never forgotten matches. Ever. It seems so common sense to bring a form of flame camping. But stranger things have happened. You surely could borrow some from a campsite neighbor, but you would feel really stupid begging for matches at a campsite. So just to be safe we thought we'd state the obvious here to save you the embarrassment later.

2. If you're going to get a flat tire, a scenic overlook at a waterfall in the Finger Lakes isn't a bad place to change to the spare.
3. If you want free wi-fi in your hotel room, the smaller, cheaper roadside lodgings are the place to be. Sheraton should take a lesson from them.
4. The Toronto area has the most horrific traffic we have ever experienced - and we live in Boston.
5. It is not rude to gurgle your wine while tasting. In fact, spitting is perfectly acceptable too. Expensive mouthwash, that wine. Niagara On The Lake in Ontario is overflowing with it.
6. Flintlock muskets, in the War of 1812 or otherwise, were NOT accurate or reliable weapons - which is why all those poor soldiers had to line up en masse at close range back in the day. It wasn't because they were trying to show off their toughness, they were just hoping one of their bullets would find it's mark. It was the best technology and strategy they had to work with.
7. Niagara Falls kicks ass.
8. The State of NY marks it's roadways sporadically which often leads to interesting, albeit confounding, meanders off the mark.
9. The Baseball Hall of Fame really knows how to put on a show. Their induction ceremonies are free, fun, and thoughtful toward the fans. Free water stations and picnics welcome.
10. It takes about 3 days to get the smell of campfire out of your hair. Luxury hotels are the perfect way to end a camping trip.
11. It is amazing the amount of tourist attractions you can see in one day with nothing but an energy reserve of a muffin to go on.
12. Sidestepping overflowing garbage during a city worker strike can put a damper on your tourist intentions.
13. Exhausting days, grumbling stomachs, hideous traffic, overpriced attractions, border crossings, packs of tourists with unhappy children, unexpected downpours, a flat tire, long waits, and Red Sox withdrawal are no match for The Bumbles. We are unstoppable travelers and found more to love than complain about. Success!
